1st Year Pics

Last Thursday Korey and I took off of work to head to Dallas to get Hunter's one year photos done. We had so much fun and the weather was great until 9:45 when it became super hot but by then we only had fifteen minutes left. Go to Tin Star's blog to check out Hunter's photos! I'm so glad she got some great shots because this boy would not sit still! And his poor stuffed monkey got thrown down to the ground several times but she managed to get a great shot...looks like an ad for a boys clothing line. But hey I'm bragging!

11 Months

Hunter turned 11 months on Father's Day. That afternoon we went swimming at Grandma's house. Here he is chilling in the pool with his bottle and his daddy.

He crawls, he cruises, he's on his tippy toes trying to reach things and sometimes he gives me an attitude when I tell him no. If I catch him touching the fireplace and move his hand away he yanks it away from me and says "Eh." You know, the attitude sound. Oh help us! I think we're going to skip 3rd stage foods all together because he'll eat whatever we're eating off our plates and sometimes refuses to eat what's on a baby spoon. He loves pasta! Recently he got to experience his first cupcake from The Cake Stand! He loved every bit we gave him...which was just a small bite since those cupcakes are so big. Korey gladly ate the rest of it.

Happy Father's Day

Korey is getting ready for church and Hunter decided to join him. I forgot to take one when we were all dressed. Happy Father's Day to my sweet hubby!

Not a Baby Anymore

This is Hunter. My baby. He's supposed to be napping. Instead we caught him standing up in his crib. Sigh.

I feel like we left the baby stage overnight. Now he crawls, he cruises, he pulls up everywhere including the bathtub, he bites the couch constantly, he has bitten me :(, he laughs when I say no, sometimes he smacks the spoon when I'm trying to feed him and he refuses to sit still.

Sigh. My mom gave us a copy Wild Things: The Art of Nurturing Boys because one of our friends had recommended it. Well let me tell you that Korey stole it and started reading it before I could get to it. He would sit next to me on the couch and laugh at some of the stories in it. I got it back and I've been reading it and I'm beginning to understand what will be involved in raising this adventuresome baby, oh I mean boy!
